Default Kooks Headers should i ceramic coat?

Hey whats up people, im new to this site but i know a fair amount about ls1 engines, im about to get me a sweet pair of kooks 1 3/4 headers but the question is should i ceramic coat them? im already looking at $800 for the headers and the coating would set me back another $150 and im wondering if the coating actually makes a big difference conserning the heat under the hood.
alot of people have told me that uncoated headers would cause problems with anything that is heat sensitive in the engine bay. PLEASE HELP looking forward to hear your opinions, and im glad im on the site! Thanks in advanced!!!

Stainless holds the heat in better than a mild steel header, so you don't really need to worry about the coating. If you want some bling, though, the coating is the way to go.

WELL, Ceramic Coating will bring your temps down a fair amount.....MeentS S02 is right...S/S is better than mild steel.....still, the coating will lower temp even more though.

not worth it IMO, stainless is meant to be shown and not covered up and already retains the heat, as mentioned, a lot more than coated

why would you want to cover up PUURRRTTTTYYYYY

it retains more heat than BARE mild, not necessarily coated mild. I'd only rock the coated stainless if i had a problem with IAT's or melting stuff. polished ones look purdy.

There is no real benefit to coating them. Rock the bare stainless steel.

at the moment im only planning on a really good head/cam pakage with the 90/90 fast combo, and a nice tune and of course my kooks 1 3/4 i should have mentined this at first but with the heads and cam would the temp raise a good amount and if it those should i then consider coating?

I think I'd get them coated for the thermal purpose but if I wanted to make them bling i'd get em polished.

huh... i always thought different

since i figured it is easier to bend mild steel compared to stainless with heat, but i didn't suppose adding that coated factor would increase retaing heat that much

seriously, get some coated pacesetters, the only purpose to get kooks stainless steel headers is that they are shiny, stainless steel and expensive. pacesetters perform the same, and have near perfect fitment. and for 375 you have them shipped to your door.
