Default help with high idle problem
About half of the time my idle seems to be around 1200-1500 while moving and right around 1000 while stopped. The other half, the idle stays pretty consistent at around 950. What is causing this fluctuation? and shouldnt it be idling at 800?

car is a 98 m6

Mine did the same when I was stock. It's fairly common for the M6's. I also found out my tach is about 100-150 rpms off after getting HPTuners.

No surging, just a random high idle. Guess I won't worry about it.
