Default Hooker aerochamber flow well??

Im thinkin of ordering the hooker catback for my 02 when i pick it up this weekend. I was just wondering how well the aerochamber flows compared to other catbacks/mufflers?

Its one of the highest flowing. I love mine. There is a guy named Jeremiah in OKC who had around 530 RWHP & said he actually lost some opening his cut-out over the Hooker Aerochamber.

Yep, I think he said gained like +2 RHWP and loss like 5 RWTQ...that was on a vortech auto car...I think he put down like 570 rwhp with that car...it was up for sale on here for a while. The shop we go to in OKC swears up and down by them too

I've been told from some of the performance shops I've dealed with that the Hooker cat-back lays down the highest numbers on the dyno. I'm getting rid of my Borla next month and going with the Hooker cat-back.

I had both the hooker and magnaflow and i like the magnaflow better. Little more bass and its stainless. The hooker sounded nice but they both flow about the same. It was only like $50 more for the stainless so thats why is switched and have magnaflow now.

anyone ever used an aerochamber muffler in a true dual application? Either two single inlet single outlet or a dual inlet dual outlet???

yeah, ive had magnaflow before also, and when u add headers and especially ory, the magnaflow kinda goes downhill in my opinion. it has a real metallic "tinny" kinda sound. not to mention the tips on a camaro are hideous, which is another reason i decided against the magnaflow cuz ive had nothing but camaros. but build quality, flow, and fitment...the magnaflow is the ****, and very reasonable price wise. if i was staying with stock manifolds and cats, id probably stick with magnaflow, aside from the tip issue

I had my Hooker Exhaust dyno'ed with the cutout opened and closed. I lost 4rwhp/7rwtq with the cutout closed. The sound sucked *** and I doubt that difference was even noticeable. I rarely opened the cutout, in fact with it opened it would run as consistent as with it closed. It is a very good muffler design. I am very happy with my Full Hooker Exhaust.

can the aerochamber muffler itself bolt onto the stock catback? since the catback is light stainless from the factory right?

Default Hooker-v-Magnaflow-v-Random Tech

So fellas how does the Random Technologies catback flow in comparison to the other two mentioned? I picked it up because it was a steal on ebay. Any dyno numbers or know of anyone else running it? I think i'm the only person on this forum using their catback...that may be a bad thing...lol!

Does this happen often? Any warranty on them?

That, and it would rust inside the muffler. After i took it off and shook it, Sound like a dam salt shaker or Maraca or something and could not get the rust particals out either. So Magnaflow is the way to go.
