Best Ceramic Coating
Which is the best coating to use on headers? I want to have the coating that will last the longest. I have had performance coatings on the last set I installed. They started to show spots after about a year. How is Jet coating?

I had JetHot Coating on my LT Headers and flaked off. The coating developed bubbling, rusted and flaked off. That was after a year and the car was not daily driven. At the time, I lived in Virginia and there is all kinds of weather there. If you live an dry area of the country, you may or may not have these issues. I ended up going with 304 Stainless Steel for my LT Headers and no rust and 2 years.

My headers are 304 stainless but I still had them Jet Coated over a year ago and they still look like brand new. This isn't my daily driver but I probably have close to 10,000 miles on them.

[QUOTE=SOMSS] My Kooks are ceramic coated Cherry Red and never get any hotter than 145ºF.
Just curious, where are you taking this reading at? and how long had the engine been running?
I have coated headers and even after shutting it off after a pass it's much hotter than that.
