Default Help! Need torque specs for Header bolts

I'm in the middle of installing my new XS Stainless headers and I kinda forgot to look up the torque specs for the header bolts. Seeing as this is an aluminum block I don't want to be wrong. Anybody wanna lend a hand?

TIGHT! It's kinda hard to get a torque wrench to all the bolts & you may need to get under the car for some. Also don't forget to retighten after a week or so. I ended up having to replace a gasket cuz I forgot!

to me, i planned on doing LTs only 1 time, so i did it right and bought the stage 8 locking header bolts.. Yes you can re-use your stockers, but a couple of buddies of mine did that, and after a while they came loose and will have to be retightened!

Totally up to you!

If you're planning on doing cam and heads, I wouldnt lock the bolts cuz you're just gona have to take them off. I used the stage 8 bolts but not the locks. Tightening the bolts isnt hard.

Don't tighten until you can't tighten anymore, you'll strip the head. The correct specs are 11 ft. lbs. first pass and 18 ft. lbs. the second pass starting from the middle and working your way out evenly. Like stated earlier, some you just can't get a torque wrench on, so be careful. Check again in a few days of driving.

I tightened from the outside in starting with the back bolt...and made it pretty tight on the 1st pass. oh well, works out for me...
