Default In the middle of header install (help)

98 SS M6. Pacesetter LT's ORY.
Took everything off today... so should i go ahead and install the new plugs before or after the headers are installed?

what is the gapping on the plugs? i heard .055 but the sticker under the hood says .060?

losen the old plugs while everything is out of the way it will make your life much easier!

Yeah, wait till you have everything back in to put the plugs back in. That way you dont risk cracking them when putting the headers in.

i just swapped headers not to long ago and i left the plus in it, i also have ARP header studs as well. So that forced the headers away from the plug. It was a tight fit, but it worked... BTW header studs make life so much easier if you are doing everything by your self

cool so i will take the old ones out before the install of the headers then after everything is bolted up on the headers install the new plugs wires?

Install the new plugs after you bolt on the headers. Should now be easier than when you had manifolds on there.

With Pacesetters, you may have to raise the motor a little bit (`1") to install them. Just unbolt the motor mounts and place a jack with a block of wood on it to avoid scarring your oil pan.

I had to on an M6 car to get the passenger side to slide up.

def wait until you put the headers on to put the plugs in. you dont want to risk cracking a plug

Just remember the higher the car is the better. The passenger side needs to be almost vertical before it will go in. I didnt have to raise the motor at all. But I did move the starter out of the way.
