There's not going to be any turbulence, but the problem you are going to have is finding a collector that will be the right size.

Flowmaster makes collectors, but they only have a 2 x 2.5" ---> 3" collector. To get a 4" collector you would have to be running a 3" ypipe, (2 x 3" ---> 4").

The option you have is to make something custom. Have an exhaust shop fabricate a Y collector to come off your 2.5" ypipe and transition into 4". Or use the 2 x 3" --> 4" collector, and neck up the 2.5" piping into 3" piping. That's about the only way it can be done.

The only other option is to somewhere else find a 4" collector, but I don't think any companies make those connecting from 2.5" piping.

I think i'll be allset. I think all I need to do is expand the collector on the end of the y-pipe to 4" and connect her up to another 4". I believe I can do that.

Stainless Works can make a custom collector to go from 2.5" y-pipe to a 4" or 3.5". Problem is I run 3.5" i pipe now and it's tight under the car, I have to imagine 4" all the way back will be tight, plus over the axle. Also finding a muffler (mufflex comes to mind as the only one) with a 4" inlet/outlet will be scarce.

Anyway, I'm making great power with 2.5" y-pipe.
