Default LS6 intake p/ns

LS1howto.com shows these three parts as being needed for the swap. I've looked them up at gmpartsdirect and also called the dealer and had no luck.

- 1x 2001+ front coolant pipe - #12568478
- 2x 2001+ rear coolant plugs - #12562788 (Note, you can use a 2nd coolant pipe in place of these plugs if necessary)

Does anyone have the correct part numbers?

Forget the parts, just grind down the ridges on the bottom of the intake on the areas where the existing lines need to run. I did it this way and its been perfectly fine for a while now. Save yourself the $50. It only takes a few extra minutes to do and it is simple.

Do you use the map sensor off the ls1 manifold on the ls6 manifold? I am going to be doing this install as well next weekend.

You can reuse the stock MAP sensor.

WS6 Store has excellent prices for the coolant pipe kit and includes the gasket. I would go that route.

They are MT ET streets. That time was as good as it gets with out a stall. This weekend I am installing the LS6 manifold, ordering the vigilante 3200 and will have a Custom Tune from MTI in the next two weeks so I can Bump the shot to 150 Hoping for a 10.99

Are you removing all your air bullshit and egr?

Ill pm you if I run into any probs....Doubt it but its possible I just dont want to mess with all my nitrous stuff...took so long to make it look so nice

I don't have any block off plates. For now it all stays on. Just going to unplug the EGR plug, bend it out of the way and disable it through HP Tuners. When I get around to getting block off plates, I eventually will.

Let me know

Got it all installed. The intake I had did not have the screw rivets to hook the throttle cable to. I had to break my LS1 intake to get them out then hammer them in (well a buddy of mine did). Tuned the egr/air out but left it all in there.

Wound up using the dremel tool on the bottom of the intake to clean some of the ridges off.

All installed and running strong. Pulled a little on my buddy with a 03 mustang gt w/125 shot.

Got a tune that seems to be working pretty good too.
