over the summer I took mine off to do the fra mod and noticed all kinds of crap in there....twigs, leaves, a rubber band, etc. just clean it out the best you can. my car was running fine before and after i cleaned it, but its a good peace of mind to know its clean.

While doing my engine swap I just used a small flat head screw driver to pick out all the pebbles and stuff, actually worked pretty good, the thing looked new when I was done. It straightened the fins pretty well too.

Not sure how to quickly remove the trash other that to pick it out with a ice pick or something.

I use one of them Bug net in front of my Radiator to protech the radiator and also makes it is easy to clean with a shake or brush... Doesn't effect the cooling much if at all.

Being that the front end and the chin spoiler is so low to the ground .. all is designed to make the flow of air into the radiator area.. that also will suck up the trash.

I have had the same problem, just clean it out the best you can. A garden hose worked well for me.
