Default New Headers...Engine Rebuild??

What up peeps....so i'm planning on installing bolt-ons to my 99 T/A. One little problem...my car has +180k I was wondering if I should wait and rebuild my motor before installing bolt-ons?? I don't want to invest money in bolt-ons and them my motor blow. Theres nothing really wrong with the motor but I'd probably feel more comfortable knowing that i've been through the motor myself. What do ya'll think?

Invest away. There is no bolt on that cant come off and go onto another motor if and when that one gives out. Or, You could just get a new set of rods rings and pistons. Then have the block freshened up and you are

werd... it wont even matter. when the motor goes your bolt-ons will be fine. you can reuse them so it dont even matter. whichever route you wanna go.

Correct. You will be fine to do anything really. Only thing you have to remember is your trans and rear have those miles as well.

i ended up getting another motor and transmission, rebuilding the motor and putting everything together, removing the old motor and trans together, slipping the new one in there and in a week it was running again.

buy headers and exhaust, itll all transfer over to your new set up though
