Default Motor reinstall

Is there any benefit in reinstalling the shortblock rather then with the the heads on to get the bell housing on easier? Or just reinstall as taken out.

Well if you didnt repost...

I pulled my LT1 as a longblock the first time. It was a pain.

The 2nd time I took the Heads intake off and then pulled it in almost an hour.

Tony.

Install everything thru the bottom. Long Block and all your accessaries as well. Its the easiest and best way to change a motor.

I just wanted to know if anyone had more luck doing it just as a shortblock or if installing the heads afterward was a problem to get the rear bolts tightened. Thanks guys.

i would put it back in with the heads on.the bellhousing bolts isn't that hard to get to but torqueing head bolts isn't fun while the motor is in the car, especially if they are the stock head bolts and you are trying the degree method.
