PCV Catch Can Placement Does anybody have their catch can located somewhere OTHER than on the front of the passenger-side head? I'm trying to install my can but I still have my EGR system and it is bolted right where I want to put the can and I don't know where else I can mount it. Any ideas/pics would be greatly appreciated. I'm not trying to ditch the EGR system either since I'm in SoCal and the smog ****'s are pretty harsh. Thanks.
I mounted an AMW catchcan to the passenger side fog light bracket. The PCV feed and return lines snake through an oval hole just in front of the battery and over to the intake. You need to temporarily remove the battery to run the hose. I used a 3 or 4 inch hose clamp and about six feet of hose.
The fog lights were recently removed and I can drain the can by reaching into the fog light opening and twist the **** valve. Before, when it used to have fog lights, it was simply a matter of removing the two bolts holding the lower splash guard to access the catch can. Simple, nobody sees it, and the cold air helps coelesce the mist.
