the slp bellow has been doing good for me for almost 2 years and no issues. I had doubts if it would fit over my NW TB but it's holding up good.

And I dont remember the slp bellow costing that much when i got it.

slp bellows runs about $60 now. I think I paid $40 for my baker hose and plus there's no other colored bellows out there anyways so I think it was worth it

my slp bellow didnt fit over my nw tb... but it might of if i got a running start and kicked it. 4 inch fenrco doesnt work for the nw either - its made to go over top 4 inch id pvc not 4 inche i/d itself.

got 4 inch id water hose(from sort of local deisel tractor trailor place-berco) for mine since i learned 3.5 fits inside my nw tb the hard way...

You can get the same exact SLP piece from another company for $45 (like me ).
sweet merciful crap, they raised the price to $70?! That's completely insane. Even more insane is that plenty of people will still buy it now, and then a few months down the road when they make it $80.

wait, do you really have to do this with the ssra? i'm thinking of getting either that or the ftra. i was leaning towards the more expensive ssra just because the plastic wont heat soak like the metal ftra, but if i have to mess around with relocating stuff then screw the ssra.

I've had both the baker hose and the SLP bellow. The baker hose caused my slp lid to pop out on the back a lot. That was with poly motor mounts. Never had a single problem with the SLP bellow. I think it is worth the money. Everything on our cars is expensive. $50 for a quality piece isn't bad when you compare it to $2 worth of plastic that someone molded into a lid and charge $100+ for or a piece of sheet metal that someone bent up and is a "ram air". I'm not bashing either the lid or the ram air products, just trying to put the SLP bellow in perspective. It's not a piece of plumbing. It's a purpose made part that I would be willing to bet took about the same investment as the lid did to produce. Just because you can't run to Wally world and pick up a dust pan for $6 and use it as a lid doesnt mean you should do the same for your bellow...
Sorry for the rant... I'm going to get another beer!

after the home depot frenco has been on for a few heat cycles, it's really easy to put on and take off. I'd never pay $60 or whatever it is for something that I can get for a fraction of that price.

Yah! I have some help not looking like a total ricer!

Though I wouldn't pay $60 for a bellows $45 was my limit and I liked it, the rising prices are ridiculous. I guess they are trying to soak as many people for cash as they can before they get to soak new people with the 5th gen.

Anyway, like I said ealier if you really want ridiculous look at the Corvette guys, it hit around $400 with shipping a little while back (C6 caused the C5 prices to drop) for a "bellows" that did just a little as the bellows on the 4th gen except that those weren't able to hold boost without exploding into engine shrapnel. Anyone who tells you that they made a gain is probably using a butt dyno (or they did the intake at the same time).
