Default difference in types of headers

i am shortly going to be purchasing a set of headers for my 2000 ta and wanted to know what the advantages, and disadvantages where between stainless and ceramic coated, as so which brand to stay away from, and which brand out did them selves, and one last thing ebay stainless headers good or bad?

ps. if this is needed to be known, they will be on a stock internal car the only thing that might change is the cam but nothing radical.

you should try searching, there is plenty of info on this site about headers...

kook stainless headers are probably the best, ceramic will keep the exhaust heat inside the headers, and probably keep the temperatures alittle higher so that you can get alittle better exhaust flow, but ceramic coatings will eventually rust some. i've had my Jet Hot headers about 2.5 years and this weekend just noticed that they're rusted in about a 3 inch spot where i've scraped some speedbumps, but other than that they're still pretty good.

to me it seems that headers are just about like anything else, you get what you pay for... keep that in mind if you're buying Kooks, or if you're buying ebay headers

hope that gets you started...

stainless is hands down the best way to go but some stainless companies want top dollar. theres nothing wrong with the ceramic coated ones though. longtubes are always gonna give the best gains also. Just 1 thing to never do is get a set of headers without a coating unless theyre stainless.

I got a post a few lines down about my e-bay headers you may want to look at, theyre an option but Im not allowed to suggest them over any sponsor headers or else I get the ban stick again. But I thought id let ya know there are other options out there
