everything will bolt up fine. You will have to take a grinder and grind the ridges down on the bottom of the intake. If you don't the intake will hit the steel coolant lines that set below the intake

Or you could get the +01 coolant pipe and plugs for the rear. Here are the install instructions, I used them and everything went fine. http://www.ls1howto.com/index.php?article=5 I'd also pick up a oil pressure sending unit as well. I picked up one when I installed my LS6 intake. I didn't break the stock one, but it's nice to have it as a back up so you are not running to the auto parts store mid-project. I hate that.

another major issue your gonna run into is the EGR valve... as you will need to delete the module, block off your passenger exhaust manifold provision and tune out the code

does anybody know where I can get a few pics of the intake and where it needs to be grinded? Or is it something that will be self explanatory once I pull the stock intake off? Thanks!

If you're determined to use the stock coolant line, I would take off the LS1 coolant line, then you can place it on the LS6 intake as a template and only grind down the ribs that need ground down. Throw the line back on and install the intake.

I wouldn't say determined, I'd say cheap, lol. The stock stuff works fine for me and if I can keep it w/o damaging the LS6 intake then thats what I'll do!! Taking it off though is a good idea, thank you!!!

why don't you swap coolant lines as well? He's not going to need them with the LS1 intake.

I had to test fit the intake three times before everything was right. The last time I just grinded down all the outer ridges and a few along the way. I didnt get to take a pic, I killed the camera battery taking pics of the intake off the car. Sry, just be careful when you grind not to cut through the flat parts of the intake.

It is really easy if you have a die grinder, some of the raspy looking bits and turn the Air Compressor pressure!! It worked for me. Now I just need to put the fuel rail back on and fire this pig up!!
