I think open headers & cutouts sound pretty similar to that GMMG sound. might have to think about this before I buy a new exhaust. I'll probably go with GMMG & a electric cutout.

OMG people need to stop asking this question every week. Stop polluting the board with the same question. It just takes up space that we could use for something that hasn't been covered on a daily basis since the creation of the site!

There are too many options and combinations to nail down a favorite.

A buddy of mine stationed here has Pacesetter LT's, ORY and a TSP rumbler CB on his LT1... OMG It sounds soo good! Nice and loud and throaty!

if you want to run the y-pipe do GMMG if not on a budget but Loud Mouth 1 if you are.

if you dont care about the y-pipe get a x-pipe true dual dumped system

Bolt on car, GMMG. Heads/cam, full tilt car, true duals. GMMG if you run cats on the full tilt car. GMMG is friggin loud as hell with heads/cam and off road y. It sounds unreal after 3000rpm though.

Duals.

Big cam, high compression, longtubes, no cats, duals and chambered mufflers. Only thing better is open headers or dumps at the header, but that is way too loud for a street car full time.

I am currently running an MS3, longtubes, no cats, duals and dynomax bullets. Sounds pretty damn mean.

I'm biased towards my Magnaflow catback. I used to have a Slowmaster 80-series, and I've heard other F-bods with a Hooker and SLP, and I still like the Magnaflow. It could be a little louder at idle, but that's what my future cutout is for.

TD's dumped at the axle is by far the best sounding exhaust on any LSX!! I get nothing but people asking what I have for exhaust!! If you like a loud and deep tone get TD's no questions asked.

true duals w/single chambered flowmasters make the best sounding exhaust on an f-body. in the realm of catbacks, i'd say corsa, but IMO, no catback sounds that great on an LS1. y-pipes sound
