Default Lots of problems after header install

i just installed headers last night and am having a whole lot problems with the car afterwards.

1st the is misfiring or i have a huge problem cause if i go to give it a good amount of gas the car just backfires and studders alot. i have replaced the 02 sensors with the bosch 13111's also

2nd we had to remove the steering knuckle and now the car has the airbag light is on and i have lost all of my powersteering controls.

the longtubes and ory with gmmg sounds horrible i guess i need to get cats put in

any help with what to do about both of these problems

Did you take the spark plugs out or disconnect the wires? possibly a craked or broken plug if you left them in. (happened when i put headers on my truck)

Make sure the plug wires are seated correctly. They should pop twice. When I did my header install I didn't get one of the wires on the plug good and it ran like ****. Check your O2 sensor wires. Make sure the wires are not melted/touching the header. Did you use extensions or splice the O2 wires?

How long did you run the car?, the computer will need to adjust with the less restricted exhaust flow now. You will need a tune for sure and expect engine light to be thrown. Are you running o2 sims since you have no cats

like everyone said plugs / wires two clicks on the coil one on the plug. Did you replace them when you put LTs on?? Def check your extensions if you used they could cause some of the problems. Air Bag light?? dunno mines on but yet i have a diff steering wheel

mine ran fine with the pacesetter harness...yes it is junk but the car does need to cycle a couple times. i would imagine you cracked a plug, since you left them in...and after researching the same problem. post up and let us know

When you disconnected steering did you rotate the wheel around at all? If so you may have broken the SIR clockspring.

make sure your y pipe is not hitting. That will give you a stutering feel. I had NGK TR55 gapped at .055 and backfired a lot. Went to ac delcos and ran fine.

Ok you have Pacesetters why did you have to remove the steering? Do you hav e a SES light? I have Pacesetters also. I used the pacesetter wiring for the o2. Been working fine for 500 miles. I did have the stumble and SES light. We cracked a plug because we left them in when removing and installing the headers.

i dont think that there was anything wrong with the pacesetter wiring harness, and yes the wheel was rotated, with the harness out

Just buy the pre-assembled extensions, plug and play, much better.

When I did a search (imagine that) for this problem -- as I am having the exact same problem with the exact same story as you -- someone in another thread said he had the same problems/story and his car told him it was an O2 sensor, but in reality it was a leak in his intake tract. Rather it be an O2 on my car. Now I don't know if I should order a pair of O2s or not... Gahhh...

By the way, my search found a few threads like this one.
