Question Pinned ATI super damper on NA app... do I still need to use superhuman torque value?

I installed my new ATI super damer and pinned in to the crank. Do I still need to follow the GM procedure of:

1. Old bolt to 240 ft/lbs
2. New bolt to 37 ft/lbs
3. 140 degrees to stretch

Or... since the pin will stop the pulley from spinning backwards or being affected by the stresses of the accessories on a purely interference fit... can I simply use a new bolt and torque it to 150 ft/lbs or so?

Not sure...I'm curious as to why you decided on that pulley. Going supercharged in the future? I'm actually looking at one for my N/A car as well, no real plans of blowing it though. Just strikes me as a nice piece.

I would use the stock sequence, and keep the pin as a safety...

I use an ARP crank bolt and 175 ft lbs, if it holds with a supercharger to 7000rpm I'm sure it will hold just fine on an N/A car.

I went with this balancer because it is the best at doing what it's supposed to do... dampen crankshaft harmonics. I track the car (HPDEs) and wanted a good part here as the car sees RPM offten.

I went ahead and pinned it because the ATI comes w/ a keyway and it was easy.

I followed the GM spec... also easy... take big rachet then take upper 1/2 of low profile jack and you've got the perfect tool. Old bolt to 240, then 37 ft/lbs and 140 stretch
