does 4 inch exhaust hurt a bolt-on car

yea the z06 wheels were on....havent check the plugs and wires, they're stock with 72,000 on them. air filter is fine, fuel filter, never mesed with it. the car pulled v ery smoothed and didnt skip or sputte in the high rpms any. the same day, actually an hour before, a 99 SS w/ lid and flowmaster dyno's 300 rwhp, and an 01 T/A with lid and catback dyno'd 322. so the weather wasnt a factor at all.

runs were done in 4th and those numbers are corrected.

single 4" exhaust is about the same cross sectional area as dual 3" pipes.

72,000 miles on the original fuel filter; i wouldnt be surprised if the motor is being starved for fuel. im willing to garuntee that if you replaced that filter (less than $20) youll get a couple more hp out of it.

Get a cutout if you are afraid of scavenging. I will be putting on a 4" on my nitrous car, and have had one on my SS before.
