triple gasketing?

Im almost done my custom e cutout set up (custom in the sense that im fitting a 3.5" QTP on my 3" cutout. It is currently double gasketed with clearanced gaskets to give the valve time to open before having to fit in the pipe but it just barely catches. So i was thinking 1 or two more gaskets will do the trick. Will running 3 or 4 gaskets cause leaking problems or anything else?

If you can get a cutout to seal up, you've done something. Those gaskets suck. You could try some high $ copper gaskets if you're really worried about it sealing all the way.

The dead soft aluminum seem to work pretty good. Percys and Flowtech manufacture them. I am sure that one of the sponsors carries something like that.

Yea, I plan on trying some of them when I put my headers on the boat. Not like I'll be able to hear an exhaust leak anyway

Yeah, they work about 95% leak free. Good choice.

only use one gasket.ive had good luck with percy's.

i dont really care if mine leaks, i mean it is a hole in the exhaust.

hahaha that is what i was saying when we were thinking up the idea.. anywho i quadroople gaksketed it and it seals amazingly. Im sure ill burn up the motor in about 3 days

Lol, sometimes those motors will burn up the more you play with it.
