Default loudmouth trouble

hey guys, just recently stopped by the local speed shop and wanted to order a loudmouth cat back. the guy i spoke to claimed that by the time i got headers and high-flow cats i would get into trouble with the police. He also claims that he knows of people that get ticketed just because of their loudmouth catbacks with stick headers etc. I would really like to get a loudmouth, but im just curious if this guy may be right. Ive never heard a loudmouth in person before and ive heard the loudmouth II is quieter so that is defenately going to be plan B. just wondered if anyone has heard of similar stories or could point me in the right direction exhaust wise.

thanks alot

Get the loudmouth.

Replace the resonator with a magnaflow, borla, etc bullet style muffler.

I've heard the "magnamouth" in person before and to me its ******* sex.

I'm trying to piece one together right now.

But if your still worried about being loud just get a magnaflow catback. Flows just as good as any other (check sig) and it very quiet down low and only gets really loud and WOT.

Oh yeah.

3" eletric cut out. Cheaper then loud mouth. Louder and you can keep your stock exhaust and go into stealth mode at the flick of a switch.

The LM1 with headers and ory sounds awesome wide open, but got to be a nuisance after about a month. Its great if your girl rides with you alot-lol I replaced the resonator with a Powerstick. It sounds better but is still good and loud.

whoever you talked to is a ******* idiot and has no idea what they are talking about, I have long tubes, NO CATS(ory) and a LM2 and I have never been bothered by the cops and I drive by them all the time, also our cars with full exhaust are actually pretty quiet, its the cutouts right after the headers that will get you in trouble, Get the LM, it will sound great with the stock headers and cats or even with aftermarket stuff, and I guarantee you wont get in trouble for just having exhaust, especially if you keep the cats on

if u get longtubes and ORY, it will sound loud, but it will be really raspy, not very toned at all, just straight loud...if u like that, go for it, otherwise i suggest u look into true duals or another catback...

One ticket with the headers and loudmouth, then one with the dynomouth, now I have the flowmaster setup because I got a good deal on them. Here is a link to a video my buddy made one late night so you can get a listen to, oh and that knock turned out to be a bad wrist pin and a bent crank. Mods in sig.

I've had my Loudmouth with LT's Ory and the exhaust note was very loud and high pitched. I then added highflow cats and it toned it down some, still loud but deeper sounding. I'm now back to stock manifolds and Loudmouth and the exhaust has a nice deep tone like I remembered it, but is still quite loud, just more refined sounding. I've been pulled over once for the exhaust with LM, LT's and ORY, the cop was cool and said I should consider quieting it down some and let me go. You will need to becareful of your surroundings with the Loudmouth...IT DOES GET ATTENTION regardless of your set up.

Never had a problem. I've been stopped in the car for speeding then let go on a warning exhaust loudness never came into the discussion. But then again I don't go around reving it pass cops pick your battles, coast or go from first to third when shifting in the city it will save gas and keep ya out of trouble and it is not slugish like the first to fourth setup shifting.
