Default Which one? single or double

Everyone bare with me. This may be a little complicated because its going to be hard to make it very simple because ive had a couple of drinks . Okay, I figure to run LTs and something like a x pipe or a h pipe with bullets would be louder than a ORY with a single dumped bullet, right? Or would the ORY with a single bullet be louder? Someone try and clear this up for me. I guess the real question is, will a h/x pipe produce better/louder sound than a ory? Thanks a **** load.

You want deep muscle car tone; not snap, crack, pop. The only exhaust on an LS1 that will give you that is a true dual. It takes too much muffler to try and deliver that with the "Rice Crispies" i-pipe system...IMHO.

The answer is simply YES.

Essentially a LM or TSP Rumbler are just a single bullet on the Y pipe, they just happen to have piping out the back.

Generally speaking dual systems do sound different there is an unquantifiable sound they make which is more pleasing on the ear, espcially H pipes. X's tend to go a bit revvy and exotic sounding compared to the more classic muscle car sound of a H pipe.

Take a look at www.ls1sounds.com it has some LT1 clips on there as well.

All ypipes inherently have rasp associated with them and it will never sound as good as duals. If you go duals the sound will be deeper, but not necessarily louder than a single pipe. You will make more hp and tq with duals, so I would go with duals.

We've been here before.

You MAY make more HP and torque.

Then again it might be less or equal.

It is dependant on SETUP!!!!!!!

And my position hasn't changed. You will make more power with duals and a volumetric xpipe crossover.
