Polished Kooks Headers
Got my kooks today you can tell the pipes were polished b4 hand then where the bends r they dulled and the flange is dull. I might just try to polish them up a little and slap them on instead of spending 250 on coating.
Well except for them sending my header to the wrong person last yr and I had to find out who had it myself cause they had no idea. Then they send me a coupon for 20% off lol. Soo it was lost for over a month and I didnt get to have it on for a show I wanted to go to. Ohh the coating didnt look to great either it had a nasty run.
polishing mine as well. just using Mothers and some elbow grease and it works good. its a labor of love... 1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8 and the catted Y. Might go get a grinder and put a buffing wheel on it. Not sure, its a little extravagant for something that is going to change color anyway. Should have just left them alone.

Its not like thier ever going to rust out.
Im debating between Jet Hot Coated LT's and Kooks LT's, and if I bought the Kooks It wouldn't be for looks, ( although the Stainless Steel does look nice ) it would be for the simple fact I would never have to do it again.
I here stories of surface rust but that is just a minor detail, surface rust does not hurt nothing.
And another question, does anyone know if the Pacesetter Y-pipe will fit Jet Hot LT's?

Verdad Gallardo The jethot is mainly for looks on the kooks since I want to show my car some and take it to alot of cruise ins I want it to look really good. The polished will look good too but it will just turn color.

Question for GeorgeR at Kooks: the cats and pipes past the headers are mild steel on my car, do you make a SS system to go with the headers or is there a SS system on the market that will bolt up without modification?

Sry I didnt have the right setting on my camera or something the lighting sucks. Here is after 2hrs tho if that I still want to do a little more but they look awesome in person and 100X's better.
