Vette that sounded like an F1 car
i love this vette, its about the 3rd or 4th time i've whored it for this guy. from what i've gathered its a 383 with open cutouts.

2 cylinders fire at once on the real whiny exotics..ferraris, lotus', etc. thats what gives those v-8s a much higher pitch and different tone. impossible to do on our cars b/c of the engine design.

that does sound really nice.
F1 cars sound like chain saws/weed eaters/leaf blowers ... LS series engines dont..I have heard every corvette after market exhaust system there is and none sound like a F1..

I have a 02' C-5 6 speed. I have Kooks 1 1/3" LTs with a Borla X-R 1 no mufflers. I'm used to the sound so It's hard for me to tell. Other C-5s and
Zo-6 owners tell me the car sounds like a formula 1, it's high pitched. Now the other night a late model firebird pulled up to me and reved his engine, and I thought his car sounded great it was very low pitched, loud, sounded like a small block Chevy stroker from back in the 60's. The mufflers looked like flowmasters. I like that sound. Maybe when I do the cam and heads it will get deeper sounding and cause house windows to rattle and buzz, I don't know.

Have you ever in your life heard something that nasty? I need a vette now. Yeah, that sounds pretty close to what i remember. The car i heard wasnt full throttle, but it was deffinately gettin away from the stop light. That sounded beautiful

well I have always been wanting the GMMG. but now that I've heard a couple of these vettes, that's just bada**!! and who says LSx won't sound like that? aren't these vettes LSx? so I'm guessing duals from the headers, into a compressed x pipe with titanium mufflers? I wonder if we can buy universal titanium or turbo mufflers off ebay or something and use an x pipe or try the corsa catback with an x pipe to get those vette sounds?

I don't know why you want a vette to sound like that. I think that a little descreet lope and a tame exhaust sounds good on a vette. they should not be cammin' ***** and dumped. That just makes a vette trashy in my opinion. You would have a hard time getting that exotic sound out of an LSx motor due to the firing order being different.

really? in that clip it sounded a lot different. I guess its the cam that threw that one way off. I would imagine that the high LSA on the stock cam would make for a smoother exhaust note found in a stock Z06. Of course, Corsa could have doctored the sound on their website. Either way, the website sample is what i remember hearing.
