Default Question for those with SSRA

Has anyone tried attatching the bottom scoop of their SSRA to the bottom of the front facia using double sided tape instead of the screws? I'm interested in getting this set-up, but not too crazy about having to screw through the underside of the front facia. Has anyone gotten around doing so? Any pics for you guys that have?

When I put my lower piece back on I will probably add tape to it. I'll wait till it's done raining because I've gotten water into my airbox with it before and I've also torn it off the bottom of the car accidentally so it's only going back on once it's worth it. Something to consider is that it does not slip-fit into the upper half enough to hold it in place. Therefore, the only thing holding the lower piece will be tape. I wouldn't be surprised if you looked under the car one day and notice your lower duct is missing even if you didn't hit anything. So, it's kinda sucky to have to screw into the car but it's not a place anyone can see either.

Thanks for the heads up about the bottom piece not tightly slipping onto the upper piece, I wasn't aware of that. Has anyone else gotten around not using screws?

I screwed mine in, just a few screws. It's way under the car. Who will notice the holes except you? Tape sounds like a bad idea to me.

Fyi, my car is stock height and I've never hit the scoop on anything. I'm careful about those cement 'front wheel stop' block things in parking lots though.

If that tape comes off, the bottom portion is going to fall out unless you somehow screw it to the top portion.

the kit comes with 5 screws (I believe). I only screwed in 3 of them, the two outside screws and the middle. This way if for any reason the lower section gets ripped off, I'll be able to screw it back on using the other 2 holes. No issues with it being loose in the slightest.
