Default What starter?

Doesn't seem like this should be complicated, but I'm not sure on it.

I have a 2004 Corvette LS1 Engine. It has a 4L60e transmission boltled to it. The flex plate I purchased from someone here on the forum, and I think it's a Camaro plate. It is not the flat one. It is dished.

So, what starter do I order for it? I thought 99-2002 Camaro possibly. But then, I looked on an online parts catalog, and a 99 Camaro Z28 has a different starter listed from a 2002 Camaro.

Any suggestions?

You say 'same starter'. You are saying 'same for all'?

As I noted in my post, they are different from a '99 to a '2002, so that is whay I asked the question. Now, I say they are different based on looking online at a parts store, and they came back with different part numbers for each year.

You can use the newer and older starters. The difference is in the starter housing. Newer stuff has 2 long bolts where the older stuff has one long and one short. With the right bolts, they're interchangeable between the years.
