Default Non-flowmaster muffler with the flowmaster sound?

What else is out there that sounds like a flowmaster, but doesn't cost you HP?

I LOVE the way my flowmaster sounds, especially with my cam and headers, but I've heard many times that the flowmaster muffler robs you of about 15HP....

What's the deal?

Any other muffler's that sound like it w/o the performance decrease?

nothing the flowmaster is offered in 1,2 and ,3 chamber .most mustangs run 2 chamber,it sounds the best 1 is too loud flows really well though and 3 is too quiet.a 1 chamber will not cost you any hp

Running singles here. After swapping from an ory setup with a cutout to the true-duals/x-pipe with single chambers I didnt lose any hp, but I did pick UP some throttle response and low-mid range. The main reason I swapped the exhaust in the first place was for the sound.....it turned out to be a win/win situation for me.

Question:

Isn't any "Flowmaster" gonna sound like a "Flowmaster"?

Food for thought.
