The SLP lid was my first mod (other than the Flowmaster Crapback that does nothing), and I'd have to say that I DID feel a difference.
Its a fundamental mod and should be the first for anyone. I'd say that its worth the money alone just for cleaning up the engine bay so well.

I don't know, I think all you guys that didn'y feel anything don't drive your cars enough. Or maybe you have the slushbox automatic that deadens the feel. I definetly felt a difference after install. The car would break the tires loose as it past 3000 rpm in first gear. Never did that even when it was new. I had the stock set up for almost 6 years and the Lid was a Definete improvement.

I got the lid and cold air intake (from under the bumper) and while I don't think I coulld actually feel the difference I could however feel myself losing traction in spots I never had before...

I noticed a difference... Obviously not a SOTP difference.. But my temp. runs lower, and better throttle response in the higher RPM'S... Do it! As you add your cam and LT's it'll shine even more..

it happens... the previous owner of my 01 SS never did a single modification to it, I got the car 100% bone stock, a virgin unmodified in any way Camaro SS with 13,894 on the odometer...
I've now got 21k on the clock, I've owned it a year, and just last week put my air lid on (after having it in my bedroom for 3 or 4 months hahahaha) .... I also did my B&M Ripper shifter the same day, and had some UMI parts added a month before, and just got my GMMG done last night...
so it takes people some time sometimes, not everyone has loads of money or time or even knowhow to do what they want to their cars
