98 valve covers compatible with 99 coil brackets?

98 valve covers compatible with 99 coil brackets?

got my eye on some 98 heads/valve covers.

wondering how my 99 coil brackets will fit??

No. '98 valve covers do not have brackets as the coils bolt directly to the covers.

well i kindda knew that...

i guess what i'm asking is there a way to put my 99 coils on a 98 valve cover?

either by bolting the bracket on....or by pulling the coils off the bracket and bolting each on separately.

I think you can bolt the '99 coils directly to the '98 valve cover. I bolted my '98 coils to my '99-'02 valve covers, but I had to use the '99-'02 bracket.

It sounds like you are trying to do the opposite, so it seems logical that you can bolt the '99 coils directly to the '98 valve cover, you just don't need the bracket..

*edit* - you may have a difference in thread size so there may be a problem with the bolt size. I remember that I had to re-tap the holes in the bracket to get the '98 coils to fit the bracket..
