Default what temp to set fans, please help

i know the stock fans come on around 225 and 235, but i want to lower that temp. what is a good temp for them to come on for a mostly stock car. i dont want it set too low so that it never warms up the car. thanks.

I dropped the stock fan settings 20*F on my '02 Z28 when I had it. That was with a stock t-stat. It helped to keep the car under 215*F while sitting around and less while moving.

The only downsides to fans on, are fan lifetime and a
tiny bit of fuel economy. If you have a radiator airflow
surplus then the thermostat is fully in charge and life
is good.

I set mine to something like 176/175 (low) and 180/179
(high) working with a thermostat (Hype-Tech "160")
that has a natural 177F pivot temp (seen by the logs
at highway cruise). So I run low speed fans pretty
much full time, the 'stat has a cool radiator tank for
backup most of the time and if that fails the high speed
comes on shortly after.

Stock I would recommend keeping the stock 'stat and
put the fans more like 195/193 and 200/198 (stock 'stat
pivots about 194). Raise the lower number some if low
speed fans bug you (my exhaust is loud enough that
they don't)/

i have a stock t'stat. so the low fans should be set to come on at 195 and off at 193 and the high fan on at 200 and of at 198. is this correct? thanks for the input
