Headers Install,first Start Up=smoke??? I recently purchased used hooker header lt's and i just finished installing them last week. well with my first start up there was smoke coming out of the engine...why was this?
(also put on new wires and sparkplugs with the install, and now missfire at 300 rpm)

Like smoke out the top of the engine? Maybe off the headers? Probably just oil/grease burning off as they heat up. As for the misfire, check to make sure none of your plug wires are touching the headers and burning through.
You can "aim" the spark plug boot on the coil toward the front/back of the car to help get the wire away from the tube.
I had my MSD's sitting on the damn tubes for the longest time and it didn't really hurt them, they are made of some crazy stuff.
