I'd say remove all of it. I did when I installed "race" headers. It saves a few lbs. and the car might pass an emissions test anyway. Although it is technically illegal, according to the federal government.

How would you go about plugging the hole in the manifold? I was cutting the EGR tube into the manifold and cut it too short today. The collar broke off and now, I have a vacuum leak and it will barely hold idle.
So now I am going to delete both air and EGR!! **** em' both. Has anyone written a how-to on this?

Emissions laws are just going to expand. They did in my area and since I ditched so much EGR/emission crap I just ended up selling the car for a C5.

Eventually they are going to become federal.

Note, keep your emissions crap when you go for the race/off-road stuff.

answered it in your thread already

either buy a plug from thunderracing, or make your own out a a 1/4 brass pipe fitting with teflon tape to seal it off
