Question About Heads & Intakes
Is he talking about headers?
************************************************** *******
Also, him and another guy were talking about intakes. Ive heard the term intake many many times & I know exactly where they are.
Whats a fast 90 intake?
LS2 intake?
LS6 intake?
What does having an aftermarket intake do for the car that a stock intake cant do?
If I go with a different intake will I gain any more HP? How much?

Ported HEADS means cylinder heads, as in the things that bolt to the block, contains valves, and channels air/fuel in and exhaust out, of the combustion chamber. Porting the "runners" aka, the ducts that those products flow through, increases the amount of each that flow at any given point. Increase air/fuel in and exhaust out means more power.
When people say "an intake" they can mean one of two things. An SLP intake, for example, could be an air lid. An "intake" can also be an intake manifold. This bolts to the HEADS and diverts air to each of the cylinder head runners before dumping into the combustion chamber.
FAST 90, LS2, and LS6 intake's are actually intake manifolds. They bolt to the heads and have fuel injectors plugged into them.
I have done a bit of reading on it and its still sounds kind of confusing.
I did ask this question on my car club website and I had this sick feeling that I was gonna be the one laughed at for the next 6 months, so I deleted the post.

You've got a body of knowledge in front of you that's MASSIVE, and people who can help you with anything.
Nobody is laughing at you, at least not the people who have any kind of maturity and make a ****.
