what the title says mine drops ff at 5500 rpms that normal

mine was around 5700, but it's a 98.

Mine shows around 6000 with a 02 WS6

when i bought it felt like it made power all the way to 6k

It all depends on the car. That drop in power may not be a cam issue, it may be in the tune.

Stock cams tend to peak around 5.5k. Pretty much all stock ls1s, even though some of the cams are slightly different. Not different enough to make a difference in peak hp rpm.

Now, depending on mods, it may carry out the power higher, but peak will always be at or near 5.5k rpm.

All posting here... without a dyno, you don't KNOW what it's doing. In perfect running condition, well tuned, and on the dyno is the ONLY place you'll get data that means anything. "It feels like it pulls strong up to..." is MEANINGLESS.

Yeah my stock 98 at the dyno was right at 5500 like they have said above.

the poster never asked for dyno sheets.ive drag raced for over 10 years and i know my car makes power all the way to 6k,however the cam is the only thing stock on the engine.he said stock cam not stock engine

its a intake exhaust and pp tb car nothing major its been tuned it runs better then the day i bought it but its does pull up high like it did before i start playing with it

98 here & peaks at around 6000 rpm also...I have bolt on's only

02, T/A, Non ram air, 32k on the clock, 6 speed 10 bolt, with just a SLP flow pack. 324 rwhp @ 5,300 rpms
