Default SLP cold air Induction

Is the slp Cold air induction worth getting? What actual kind of HP gains do they get?

don't get it. it's not worth the money and you run the risk of sucking up some water. just get the lid and a k&n

I have it and there is a difference with it but it is primarily from the lid. As far as sucking up water I have had no issues with that. That bottom piece would have to sit really low to suck up water which it does not. Now if you added the ssra to the SLP then I could see that happening but not with the SLP alone.

Just get the lid, save the money, and be done with it.

We'd recommend the FTRA It's make significantly more power than the SLP cold air unit.

i have the CAI from SLP and have had no adverse isses with it at all... it doesnt suck up water, had it for about 3 months now and no problems other than having to clean the filter a little more often. i noticed a difference, maybe not in overall HP but the throttle response seemed to get better, alot snappier

If you driving in really poor weather like wet, salted roads etc, the FTRA comes with a block off plate that you can use until the weather and road conditions do not. None of the other kits offer the same feature

Yes but we have done track testing on the SLP unit and our own unit to back it up

The FTRA gives you more up top for those over 100 mph runs. The block off plate installs in minutes without tools if needed.

I always thought it was funny when people swapped out their lids and took em for a drive,...maybe a lil light romp on the throttle and said "WOW!!....I feel the difference"....or ...." I didn't feel ****!! WTF!!".... Mods like this are top end noticable,..NOT so much if any at all on the low end. Like the above statement infers,... its felt only at the top end,.....somewhere around 100 mph. I'd say more like 85ish and up but whatever.

i got the flo-pac, i have no complaints about it, i noticed a difference in response which comes from the lid and bellow i would assume, but at 65 when i downshift to 3rd and go WOT, then you can tell it, i don't have any weather issues cause i live in florida, don't have any dyno numbers to back it up but i think it is a decent product
