as Tainted mentioned. check your plugs and make sure they are not cracked or fouled. make sure the plug wires are all connected tightly (u should hear two clicks). and finally, let the computer learn to compensate for the extra air. a tune is usually not necessary when installing headers. sure, it is optimal, but not necessary. oh one more thing, make sure you don't have exhaust leaks. those rob you of power as well. good luck man.

you should save yourself the cash and install them yourself. i've never done it, but plan to. from what i understand and read, it is not a difficult process at all. just time consuming. if you pay attention to detail, your golden. just a tought man.

i did my heads and cam myself, its easy u can do it, i followed the LS1howto.com write up and it was easy, just take ur time. good luck!!,

and about ur headers, just make sure ur plugs and wires are good, check ur o2 sensors, and lastly let the PCM learn its new found breathing capabilities.

anywhere from 50-100mi, but it all depends on the way u drive, and if u hit all the cells

well u need a scanner to see the cells that u hit, but basiclly u need to run ur engine through out the operating range that u will be using. ie: crusing(1300rpms-2600),part throttle accel.(2600-4500), full throttle accel.(4500-6600 or ur set max rpm) the cruise and part throttle accel cells are the easiest to hit over and over(at various throttle position %'s) its the full throttle/high rpm cells that take time to hit over and over, but dont stress trying to hit all the cells the PCM will compensate and guesstimate via mass air sensor, and VE tables written on the PCM. just drive like u normally drive and it will eventually learn the mods and make proper fuel adjustments.

tunning is a fun learning experiance and ive only scratched the surface of the whole tunning process. if u plan on doing a heads /cam swap i recomend getting some tunning software, ull learn alot and u take more pride in knowing u did everything ur self.
