Flowmasters
I know these are highly frowned upon, but my friend has a flowmaster on his longtubes and O/R Y pipe and I really like the sound. It has a chambered sound to it.
I have an 80 series with longtubes and an O/R Y and it just sounds deep. Is there another flowmaster that fits the cross flow patern on LS1s Camaros and Trans Ams? Just curious. Like I dont think the 40 series comes in a cross flow. Does it?
Thanks guys,

of course, this is all speculation so don't take this as gospel. however, "flows worse than stock"...i don't personally believe that.

I believed what everybody said about Flowmasters being so restrictive until I watched my buddy with a Flowmaster 80 do back to back runs cut out open and closed. No difference (actually .03 better closed!). This was lid/LT's/ORY ... maybe at big power levels it would be restrictive, but not stock or mild bolt-on.

I'm not drawing any huge conclusions ... I was there, watched the runs, examined the timeslips and we were both surprised. It's just that when everyone says what HUGE restriction a Flowmaster 80 is, here's some evidence to the contrary. Take it FWIW and compare to your own experience.
