What is that computer box?

What is that computer box? Can someone tell me what that is that is bolted next to the AIR pump. It's a computer that has some wires that plug into it. It also has a cable that is ran to the throttle body. Is this something to with the cruise control ?

Thanks, i took this off to have more room in the finder for a bigger air filter for the supercharger and it seems like it is messing with the computer in the car. Like it don't want to start sometimes!
I thought you were going to say "that thing next to the air conditioning box". 
I didn't know what it was either 'till the other day. I mounted my coil packs to the side of it's bracket.
