That backpressure myth is BS. Show me one LS1 car that doesn't benefit from a more free-flowing exhaust.
And there's no set amount for gains from a cutout. It depends on how much exhaust your car is making, and how restrictive your exhaust is behind the cutout. MoeZ28's car picked up like 20+hp from opening his cutout on the dyno. But it's a head/cam Trex car with a 90/90. You won't be moving so much air.

I wonder if there would be a big difference between dumping it before the axle, and after the axle right before the muffler. I looked at the writeup on that today, and the one right before the muffler looked pretty nice, I like the thought of having it exit near the rear of the car too, as opposed to right in the middle.

Verdad Gallardo It comes out at the same position as the borla cat-back. I don't think it being there is going to hurt anything. The only way I can see a cutout being less effective is if it is installed after the muffler, lol.
