Free EGR Mod on '00 T/A I went to do the EGR mod (cutting the tube that hangs down into the intake) but installuniversity's thread shows it on a 99 camaro where it looks like the flange that goes into the exhaust madifold is reachable easlily. On mine its way down and the bottom bolt looks like a huge PITA. I want to remove the assembly to trim it.Bending the tube looks like a vaccuum leak waiting to happen. Thanks for any ideas.
I bent mine slightly and took it out w/ out taking it off the exhaust manifold. Just be gentle and use common sense. If you only bend one part of it you should be fine. If you bend it at more than one area, you're lookin for problems...
