Default Best Muffler To Replace Crapmaster

Which muffler would you guys get to replace a weak flowmaster 40 series? I want something that is nice and throaty, and will give me the most power. I have no cats on my car. Thanks.

I like magnaflow and hooker mufflers, but not with LT's and an ORY. A lot of guys have been putting single chamber flows on their cars and they flow good and sound amazing. I recommend taking a look at ls1sounds.com. Pretty much any muffler or bullet you decide on will flow better than your current muffler. Good luck with your decision.

QTEC is just an electric valve for an exhaust cutout.

FWIW, I like my Hooker Aero Chamber on my cat back. I'm running it with LTs and an ORY. I'd get you a sound clip, but my car is tore down for a cam swap.

Borla sounds bad *** without cats. So does a Flowmaster Super 40.

A GMMG sounds killer, really loud....

I say if you can afford anything go GMMG or Corsa, those two sound awesome...

Otherwise go with the cutout, I love the sound of mine, with stock cam I could only imagine the sound with a bigger cam

If your just looking for a direct replacement muffler for the flowmaster into your current catback then have a magnaflow or hooker aerochamber welded in. If your going with a whole new catback my vote is for either magnaflow or true duals with borla xr-1 mufflers. There is a clip in my sig of my car with 232/238 cam/mac headers/ory/magnaflow if your interested.
