Default SLP Intake?

is it worth it for me to buy the slp cold air intake or just keep my car stock with the ram air? I just have bolt ons done to my car and headers will it make a big difference or should i keep the $80.

Use the 80 bucks towards something else IMO.

I'd recommend the ported TB.

omfg, the "ram air" is a bs thing. that scoop doesnt force anything anywhere other than dirt into the filter. the slp cai is crap, get the SSRA its the best out of them all and has been proven but its 200 bucks

i have the slp cai and noticed a small difference when i was stock. now that i have the cam in, im really glad i bought it b/c i dont think anything that helps the motor breathe better could possibly be a waste of money....especially on a cammed motor

I would have to agree with the ported tb. I first put a CAI on my car. Not much difference. I then put a cat back on. Not much difference. I then put a ported tb on. Really woke it up.
My theory is that you have to open the whole system up, intake, tb, and exhaust. Otherwise, the one you do not do is the bottleneck in the system, since the stock equipment was designed to work with each other.
JMO, I reserve the right to be incorrect.

here is my problem i'm getting it tuned today at harris speed works so i need to do whats best, but i just installed the slp cai last night and I uninstalled my hypertech ppIII cause of getting it tuned. It feels like it lost a lot of torque until it hits 3k rpms then it really livens back up again. Is that from the slp cai cause i heard that can lose low end torque for you or is it from uninstalling the hypertech. or maybe i thought i should leave the intake in there and open up the ram air scoops in the front again?

If it was non ram air, get the flow pack kit, I did 324 rwhp on my otherwise stock 2002/m6/10bolt car, but since you do, getting the lid itself will be a benefit.

so no body has an opinion if i should go back to ram air vs. the slp cai i'm getting opinions that the slp cai isn't worth the money. i already have k&n filter, slp lid, slp bellow, and a ported tb.

i'd say its mostly in your head to be honest but the hypertech might have made it feel different. just get it tuned and you'll be fine
