who has this setup?
who has this setup? Just got around to adding a magnaflow exhaust/ and have some coated pacesetters and an ORY on order now. My 98 Z was bone stock yet 6 months ago.
However, I'm going to get a nice little bonus here real soon and will dedicate to the rest of the mods I want to do. I posted previously in the newb section, but no response. I was hoping specifically you all could chime on with feedback with this setup overall.
upgrading (from 2.73) to 3.42 gears
looking at either a vig3000 or a Yank3200
I'll also be getting the sfcs, transgo, trans cooler and a tune when this is all done. This is going to be daily driver, but I want to take it occassionally from light to light.
Do any of you have any advice for a setup like this? I realize its not as big as alot of people on here, but I want a solid upgrade, while keeping a crisp tight feel to the car overall. If anyone has a setup like this, I'd certainly like to get some feedback!

should make the car feel totally different. the converter and the gears will really wake the car up, but still keep it tolerable on the highway
you may find that the magnaflow with the headers/orp will be a bit on the raspy side. if so, just buy an 18" bullet muffler an throw it right after the Ypipe.

I have the maganflow exhaust and with the lt's and ory it was raspy from 2200-2900 but after that it was bad ***. Now i changed headers to qtp race headers with a kooks catted y pipe and the rasp is gone, has a nice bass tone and no more rasp i could not be happier. Go for it
