The headers with custom y, 1 7/8 in, band clamps, gaskets, o2 extentions, etc etc with overnight shipping came to just over 1400.

If you are not in agreement with something I have said then noone is making you read it or agree with it.

The headers look very nice.
But how dose a merge Y pipe work? I thought a merge collector worked because of its placement. One individual primary tube has pulse flows traveling thu it, form that cylinder. So placed after equal or close to in length, primary tubes. The pluses when traveled thu a small ID collector, increase the savageing behind them, to help pull them out the primary tubes.
But in the Y pipe you don't really have the same pulse flow travel. So I see placing a merge collector there with the smaller ID as just a flow restriction over?

Yeah "Studderin, I dunno about that merge, you kinda lost me but all I know is that y does look a tad restrictive, I dont see the use for the extra scavaging where the y merges, you'd think if anything thats where it should be least restrictive, but hey- if it works it works!!! Nice purchase either way.

1400 bucks man thats awesome if you have that much money to spend on headers then you must be doing something right. Hey maybe you'll do the right thing and send me the ls bellhousing that you are trying to screw me on.
I mean if you werent trying to screw me you wouldnt have removed it from the trans before sending it right? And now it has supposedly been in the mail for a month??? Utah to Florida hmmm did you send it by donkey or carrier pigeon??? Tried to give you the benefit of the doubt but now you wont even answer emails or pm's from my brother. Better get your stuff together or Ill make sure every member knows what a piece of crap you are. Have a great day
yes I know but it is the only way to get this clowns attention. Hey maybe next time I'll get into the motor you sold that came in multiple pieces over a three month period .

That is extremely nice to know about the AR Y pipe. I was thinking about doing a custom Y for some QTP headers using a HOWE(circle track stuff) merge collector, looks just like taht one on the AR Y pipe. HVMC Y pipe merge, very nice! Might switch back to wanting these and just use their headers and Y instead of the edelbrocks or the QTPs......one thing is for sure, there are more and more quality choices of headers/y pipes coming out!

I agree the Kooks merge collector should be better. I think it is cleaner then the Pacesetters/Jet Hots, but for $1500 they should use a Flowmaster or similar.
About the fit, this is my second go at headers on an a 4th gen F body. My first Y had very poor ground clearance and it interfeared with my aftermarket torque arm.
Alot of guys are happy with 3" of clearance, but I hated it. If they increased the price of the Pacesetter Y pipe by $50 and put a better merge on it, it would sell twice as well. It's a no brainer.
From all acounts the ARH fit great, so either choice is safe. I wish I could see a few more photos of installs.
