I made the mistake of purchasing shorty headers last year and finally put on a set of LT's. My shorty headers are now on ebay. Whatever you decide to do just make sure that you don't end up spending more money in the long run like I did. Get it done right the first time if possible. Can't go wrong with LT's IMO.

For $350 you can get a set of Pacesetter Long Tube headers! Why would you even remotely consider shorties? Even more...why would you even consider paying that much for them? They are useless.

Get long tubes or just leav it alone!

Hookers fit perfectly, and they were stainless....and they sure didn't boast a $1500 price tag.

IMO....you are paying for the name of Kooks. Don't get me wrong...they are a very well made set of headers and they are nice. But you can get the same quality from at least 3 other brands without paying that much for them.

If you don't do LTs, You can put a small to mid-size cam in. You'll want something with extra exhaust duration and limit the total overlap. Something like a Hot Cam (except I'd do it on higher lift lobes) would work and put you over the 400 rwhp mark.

If you have long tubes, you can still stay small, just optimized for your set-up.
