stock exhaust size going into muffler and exiting muffler??? what size is the stock exhaust pipe where it enters the muffler? and what size are the exit pipes? i have a 99 WS6 T/A but i think the pipes are the same as the regular T/A or Z28 exhaust. i'm getting ready to order a replacement muffler and need to pick between 2.5" in/out and 3" in/out.

Re: stock exhaust size going into muffler and exiting muffler??? If I'm not mistaken, the WS6 has a 2.75" intermediary pipe entering the muffler. The non SS and WS6 cars have a 2.5" pipe.

Re: stock exhaust size going into muffler and exiting muffler??? i was thinking the intermediate pipe was 2 3/4 but didn't know if it necked down before entering the muffler. are the exit pipes 2 1/4 or 2 1/2? i guess i could get the 3" in / 3" out replacement muffler and my exhaust shop could make it work.

Re: stock exhaust size going into muffler and exiting muffler??? The pipe on my Formula is 2.75 but it necked downright at the muffler. I used a 3" in and 2.5" outs on mine.

Re: stock exhaust size going into muffler and exiting muffler??? At the point my Z28 exhaust was hacked near the axle, it's 2.75. I'm pretty sure the pipes out of the muffler are 2.25, as I recently measured while looking for a 2.5 90* turn.
