Default Bump stop mod help

Can anyone help me and give me detailed instructions on performing this mod with a voltmeter? Also is it even worth doing? I saw someone said they picked up 1.5 mph by doing this? Thanks in advance guys.

You'll only see that much gain if your TB is off a lot.
