1-7/8 Headers??
Re: 1-7/8 Headers?? I'd like to see documented evidence that on a fully ported head/bigger cam 346 (~420RWHP or so) that 1-7/8" headers are "too" big". I agree that 1-7/8" primaries will lower the bottom end torque performance on 346 cubes but I have to believe that in the power range that is really useful for drag racing (especially on an M6) in the 4500-6500RPM range that the 1-7/8" primaries, especially when combined with 1-3/4" stepped primary tubes, would be the hot ticket over just 1-3/4".

I believe m6 and a4 would require two different header sizes, also think about collector size(rest of exhaust on a street car) there wouldnt be any reason to lose torque with a 1 7/8" primary if the rest of system was going to choke upper rpm performance any way. What im saying makes sense if you think about it.

You might want to check QTP (www.quicktimeperformance.com) They sell 1 7/8" with plenty of options. You are looking at around $1300 though.
