It just sounds like a huge vacuum leak somewhere. The best thing I can say is take it off and inspect all the gaskets and put back on. Makes sure all sensors get plugged back in. You should also go ahead and get it tuned.

I don't remember, did you re-use the GM intake gaskets or use the FAST gaskets?

Would it be a problem if the intake is touching the front coolant lines? because mine is!!! i bent it allitle to get the intake to sit but i didnt want to bend it to much! know the intake is on there correctly and there are no problems with leaks but will the heat of the coolant lines burn a hole in my intake?

If the coolant was hot enough to melt your intake then the FAST would melt everywhere that it touches the heads/block so I'd say you're fine.

You might want to spray something near the front ports to see if the RPM changes to check for leaks.

Default fix one problem to find another??

Ok, it's back to stock again and all is well. She's running like a champ, so I would have to say it's a tune. I don't know about other A4's but mine didn't like the 90/90 at all. I do have one small problem: for some reason or another ASR isn't engaged nor will it engage. So I'm going to start a new post to see if anyone has any ideas. Seems like I disengaged the ASR while I was doing the swap!!! Oh and yes it was working fine before I started all this stuff.

Sure sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere. Were there any vacuum lines you worked near? Some will dry with age and may have cracked. Is there any vacuum to the auto (not sure, I have a stick)?

Someone said they had an idle surging problem and it was the map sensor that was bad. I'm having an idle surging problem now and I'm looking to see what everyone has done to fix them. I dont know if that helps or not.

Are you putting it back together with the FAST or the LS6 intake? I started my car today after the Mamo ported FAST installation and so far all is good, although I haven't had it on the road yet but it started right up and had good vacuum.
