I've been looking into buying one of those FOREVER! I haven't mainly becuase you have to splice in the correct wires off of the MAF. I guess technically i COULD figure out which is which but i am still hesitant. It runs about 280-399 depending where you look. It lets you adjust the a/f in 500rpm increments AND it can remember up to 30 seconds of your last run to help out. IT does alot more than a MAFT. All of the wiring diagrams they show on their website and intruction manuals are all for imports.

I would go for it in a heartbeat! However i don't have the info i need. It's a good choice Al. I too would lik eto see if it WILL work with our cars... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Eddie...install looks pretty straight forward. Thats not a problem...the only problem I see is if the signal from the MAF is compatable. And I think it is...the controller has the ability to set up for different signals from MAFs and TPS sensors. Tach siganl is a no brainer. The rest is just power. The magic is within the box itself. http://www.apexi.com ]apexi controller[/URL]

Default APEXI S-AFC controller

Anyone look into this. A guy on Corral just installed one on his GT and it works great. Its basically a glorified MAFT. But instead of just raising or lowering the enetire curve it has a tach signal and you can store different settings for different RPMS. It says it will work on ANY OBDII car. I looked at the wiring diagram and its pretty simple. Power, MAF signal in and out, TPS, and tach wire. It can be set to be used with several MAF sensors and different TPS voltages. Seems like it would work to me. Its listed for $400 on the site but a buddy of mine in the Supra crowd just got one for around $350. No laptops required. I also called MSD and they are supposed to have a few things out for the LS1 crowd to control timing soon. These two items could be an alternative to chip burning or LS edit if you not inclined. Plus it can be adjusted on the fly at any time.
Thoughts? experiances?

Yup i looked into it. I also called a tech. at apexi. He couldnt give me a GOOD answer. All he said is it HAS worked on mustangs. Our MAF signal is diffrent though. BUT he said I could hook it up and see it will either work, not work, or send the wrong signal to the puter and do possible damage. but not likly he said. i would love for someone to jump in and be the guiny pig on this one. ALSO he said one warning it if does work MOST LIKELY the tables will be off so tune EASY becaus 1% may be more than you expect and be more like 5% adjustment. BUT it also shows the 02 voltage on it so your all good I WANT one of these i just dont want to be the 1st. hehehe Good luck guys.........
